To enter the half marathon or team half marathon each participant must be 14 years of age and above. Participants between the ages of 14 to 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

NEW START LOCATION
The new start location will be approximately fifty metres behind the 100 km sign on Oxford Road, Okato. All competitors are asked to congregate within the Coastal Taranaki School grounds directly outside the school hall by 7.30 am for the race briefing. All competitors must attend this briefing. You will then be guided to the start line as a group by race marshalls.
Parking will be available on Carthew St, Okato and within the Okato township.
Coastal Taranaki School hall will be the race headquarters and all enquiries will be dealt with there.
NEW FINISH LOCATION
The finish of the half marathon and teams event will be on Anglers Avenue, Bayly Road, Warea. Parking will be available on Anglers Ave, Warea as directed by marshalls. For competitors safety, Bayly Road will be a one-way road during the event. Exiting vehicles will be guided by marshalls to leave the Boat Club via the Coast Road to Pungarehu to go home.
All competitors will be allocated with a race number. Competitors who have entered prior to the event must pick up their race pack on Saturday 13th of July from the Taranaki Cancer Society Rooms at 71 Lorna Street, New Plymouth. Time to be advised at a later date. Only competitors that are entering on the day will be issued with a race number on the morning of the event. The race number is to be pinned to the front of your shirt. Please record any medical condition/s you may have on the reverse of the race bib.
Team member one will run/walk 9.5 km and the second team member 11.5 km. This is in order to keep competitors safe with regards to parking and event traffic. The change over will be at top of mid Newall Rd, Warea at the 9.5 km mark. Parking will be on Upper Newall Rd. Parking wardens will advise you further. Team member one can then run/walk across the finish line with team member two so that both receive a medal and or spot prize.
Random spot prizes will be given out to participants as they cross the finish line. Get your name signed off at the finish line and they will notify you as to whether you have won a spot prize or not. Each team member is eligible for a spot prize.
Half Marathon drink stations will be approximately at the 5 km, 10km and 15km mark.
Toilets will be available at the start at the Coastal Taranaki School Hall on Carthew Street, Okato and at the finish at the Cape Egmont Boat Club. Portaloos will be available at the team change over spot.
For safety reasons baby buggies, pets and earphones are prohibited. This will be strictly enforced. Any competitor wearing earphones will be withdrawn from the event.
Medals are awarded to all half marathon finishers and team members.

In extreme weather, the event may be cancelled at any time. In this situation entry fees are non-refundable.
No refunds will be made unless the organisers are notified in writing by the 14th of June 2019. No refunds will be available after this date. Refunds will incur a 25% administration fee, based on entry fee paid.
All competitors, spectators and support crew are warmly invited to the Cape Egmont Boat Club. We will provide tea and coffee for competitors at the finish line. Food and beverages will be available at the Boat Club at your own cost. On entry, all non-members of the Cape Egmont Boat Club are to sign in on arrival.
